Stroke
The most common and most severe diseases are coronary heart diseases like acute myocardial infarct, peripheral arterial occlusive disease (more commonly known as smoker’s leg) or its less dramatic form of claudication. Cerebral arterial occlusion can manifest itself in three forms: cerebral hemorrhage resulting from the rupture of a blood vessel, clotting of a brain-supplying vessel and the slowly progressing, vascular-obliterating arteriosclerosis with or without a thrombosis. Without progressing arteriosclerosis our blood vessel system could be functioning properly for far more than 100 years. The natural aging process (loss of elastic fibers, the expansion of blood vessels and natural calcification) starts with our birth. The lifestyle of western civilization results in a dramatic increase of factors that contribute to arteriosclerosis. Hereditary and diet-related diseases of the fat metabolism cause an earlier onset and more severe course of arteriosclerosis. Other factors are high blood pressure, overweight, and lack of exercise despite pronounced emotional stress.
The iodine brine of Bad Hall has vasodilatory, circulation-enhancing, antioxidant and immune-modulating effects that positively influence the course of arteriosclerosis and its main clinical manifestations.
All necessary diagnostic facilities of the therapy center and the Paracelsus Institute are available. Iodine brine treatments are then individually chosen.
