Arthrosis

Besides injuries of the musculoskeletal system through accidents or overuse -acute or chronic -, arthrosis (age-related degeneration of the joints) is the biggest scourge of the musculoskeletal system. Joint replacement (typically at the hip or knee) can be necessary.

The pain that is caused by the systematic degeneration of joints (cartilages become rough, brittle and weak because of overuse, defective position or inflammation) can be eased with systematic iodine treatments. Defective positions of the larger joints and overweight are the main causes for arthritis. Especially inflammatory joint diseases can be improved with iodine treatments. At the Bad Hall Therapy Center active and passive treatments and the use of individually selected cures make up the treatment of arthritis. Active treatments including remedial exercises in a group or alone with a therapist are also essential for treating arthritis. Special training programs to strengthen muscles after arthritis surgery and to exercise the circulatory system after myocardial infarction or peripheral arterial occlusive disease are offered.
