Glaucoma
An eye specialist can make a diagnosis by measuring the intraocular pressure and checking the ocular fundus and the visual field. At an early stage glaucoma can be treated with eye drops and if necessary with surgery to reduce the intraocular pressure.
If glaucoma are not treated, irreversible visual loss or even blindness is the consequence. A glaucoma attack (appearance of colorful circles around light, very red and painful eyes combined with headache, sudden and severe nausea) is a medical emergency, an eye specialist or eye hospital must be seen immediately.
Glaucoma patients with well-regulated intraocular pressure can benefit from treatments in Bad Hall. Micro-circulation is improved, stress is decreased and cell metabolism is optimized.
