Rising pollution, air pollution, nicotine consumption (also passive smoking) and an increase in allergies are responsible for an increase in lung diseases. Chronic bronchitis (COPD, emphysema) and asthma are the most prevalent lung diseases.

As symptoms of chronic bronchitis and asthma are similar, so is their treatment.

The iodine brine inhalations and drinking cures offered in Bad Hall have been scientifically examined. Results show that they are supportive in the treatment of bronchitis and asthma.
