Adlwang

Adlwang is most famous as Upper Austria’s oldest place of pilgrimage (a former seat of nobility, 1180). The picturesque rural commune was awarded as „Upper Austria’s Most Beautiful Village“. Recreational amenities include tennis courts, asphalt curling alleys, cross country ski tracks, ice curling lanes, hunting grounds, and an interesting forest theme trail.

Pilgrimage Church „The Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary“ (1330)

A superb example of late-Gothic architecture. One of the church’s most striking features is the miraculous image of the Virgin Mary, hewn from stone and dating back to the year 1410. The Pilgrimage Church is a subsidiary to the Benedictine Abbey of Kremsmünster. At the church you will find a tiny fountain with healing water.
